SAD NEWS

 1/11/2021

Hello Everyone,

We hope this note finds you, your family and friends healthy and staying upbeat during these interesting months.

With heavy  hearts, we bring you sad news. The past week has been a difficult one  for us as two very close friends have passed away. Both were a huge part  of our dance community and many of you have known them.

On Monday,  January 4, Vince Knaggs of Calabash lost his two-year battle to cancer.  We first met Vince at a dance and became instant friends. He was always  available to help in any way--at any time, set up tables, laugh,  and greeting dancers at the door with hugs and York Peppermint Patties.  When we got our puppy, Tedi, Vince would get on the floor and wrestle  with her; so, whenever Tedi saw Vince, she would always turn into “the”  crazy puppy. Vince also introduced many of  us to the love of playing the dulcimer. Vince is survived by his life  partner, Megan; daughter, Tammy; and sons, Michael and Kevin.

Cards may be sent to:

Megan Twomey, 1509 Seabrook Plantation Way, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582

Thursday, January  7, was another very sad day. Our very close friend, Tom Dombrowski of  New Jersey passed away from Covid 19. One evening, not knowing what to  expect, Tom and his wife, Fran, strolled into our Friday  night dance in New Jersey and quickly became ‘hooked on dancin’. They  always stayed until the end of the dance and helped to close. Tom  carried the heavy equipment to the car and Fran swept the floor, still  dancing to the music in her head. We had to be careful  she didn’t run us over. You may remember them from their visit here to  the Carolinas. Most memorable is their love for each other. Tom is  survived by his wife, Fran; and daughters, Stephanie, Kimberly and  Heather.

Cards may be sent to:

Fran Dombrowski, 711 Baltimore Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865

With heartfelt  condolences we wish their loved ones comfort, peace; and may the  memories of love shared comfort them now and in the days ahead. May your  new year be filled with love, peace and good news, which we all  could use.

All Our Love,

Wanda & Jim York 843-399-8118
